Ray James Confirmed for Rough-House

Actor Ray James is set to star opposite Mandy Bhari in "Rough-House", which Johnny Herbin will direct this spring.

The fast-paced action pic will find Bhari playing a captured agent who must fight her way to freedom and escape a disturbed masked killer.

Omar Abordia ('Perfect Sense', 'Taggart') has joined the project for sound duties and Darren Eggenschwiler is set to return as Director of Photography. Andrew Robertson will edit the picture. Hybrid Academy of Martial Arts have stepped in as stunt performers with George Johnston organising the fight choreography. 

Mandy Bhari Joins Johnny Herbin for "Rough-House"

Mandy Bhari will star in "Rough-House" an action short film that Johnny Herbin (Mugging For Amateurs) wrote and will direct as his next pic at Production Attic and New Retro Pictures. 


The project shoots this month and is slated to be released on April 1st, 2012, with Darren Eggenschwiler on board as Director of Photography. 

Script has been kept under wraps but Bhari (@mandybhari) tweeted earlier, "Really stoked to be working with @j_is_for_johnny of @NewRetroOnline and @ProductionAttic - this one's going to be a cracker!". 


 Eggenschiler (@deggen) also tweeted "The sun is shining after a great meeting with @j_is_for_johnny. Next collab from @productionattic and @NewRe[Sic]". For more news as it hits check back to newretro.blogspot.com.

The New Retro Facebook page has revealed another image from the upcoming 'Mugging For Amateurs'. The film now has an IMDB page you can find here. With 'Mugging...' complete and awaiting festival release Johnny Herbin is now planning a second, untitled short.

New Retro Online is happy to reveal another image from 'Mugging For Amateurs'.

The short is currently in post production with a premiere expected in Glasgow this autumn. The short, written and directed by Johnny Herbin, will then feature at a number of film festivals throughout the UK in 2012.

A black comedy set in Glasgow from New Retro Pictures and Production Attic, the plot sees Robbie and Jamie as they seek

out potential mugging victims in the city centre.

The New Retro Facebook page has revealed the first image of Calum MacAskill and Scott Denny in 'Mugging For Amateurs' along with a brief synopsis and crew listing.

The New Retro Facebook page has unveiled two exclusive shots from the Mugging For Amateurs June shoot.
The images aren't considered spoiler material but more are expected fairly soon.
